Private Equity and Growth Capital Investing The Australia and New Zealand Private Equity and Growth Capital Investing team is involved in various investment opportunities, including buyout private equity, growth equity, value-added infrastructure, and sustainability impact investing. We form a key part of the firm's global Private Equity investing group, with access to both a dedicated middle-market buyout and growth capital focused Asia Equity Fund and specialist global equity funds. Our Private Equity strategy seeks long-term capital appreciation by committing equity to high quality companies operating in industries with resilient growth, typically in partnership with strong management and founders. Our Growth strategy seeks to partner with visionary founders and CEOs to build enduring, category-defining businesses by harnessing the global network and deep industry expertise of Goldman Sachs. Our primary target sectors of focus include Healthcare, Technology, Financial & Business Services, Consumer and Energy Transition. Examples of responsibilities include: Meeting and liaising with target company management teams and founders Developing investment theses Researching and assessing domestic & global markets Building financial investment models Coordinating w/ offshore GS domain experts, 3rd party diligence advisors, and investment banks Presenting at investment committees Participating in deal structuring and investment documentation Supporting portfolio companies in strategic and operational projects including organic business optimization, international expansion, M&A, capital raising and budgeting BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Highly motivated team player to be integrally involved in all aspects of private equity investing. The ideal candidate has passion & curiosity about investing and companies, as well as strong financial and business assessment skills.
