Main duties of the job ClinicalResponsibilities: In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, thepost-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of dutiesincluding surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visitingpatients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing withqueries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion Makingprofessional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whetherself-referred or referred from other health care workers within theorganisation Assessing thehealth care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems Screeningpatients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness In consultationwith patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols,developing care plans for health Recording clearand contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards Compiling andissuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding handwrittenprescriptions whenever possible) Prescribing inaccordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) wheneverthis is clinically appropriate In general thepost-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties andresponsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care. About us We are a large teaching practice, training all types of students from Doctors, PAs to GPs nurses and ACPs. We work closely with Keele University, and other training facilities in the area. We undertake weekly training lunch and learn meetings that are not only fun, friendly, enriching and count towards your CPD. We are a high achieving QOF practice and encourage all members of staff to be involved and participate. Job responsibilities We are looking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic salariedGP to join our supportive and caring multi-sited Practice situated in Tamworth forapproximately 8 sessions, however, this is negotiable for the right candidate.
