Description We currently have an opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join Downer and play a key role in attracting top talent. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Lead , you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes for our Downer Professional Services business. What You’ll Do This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: • Proactively source cleared defence industry candidates for Defence resource requirements, surges, and bids. • Collaborating daily with Talent Acquisition team to identify needs and provide suitable candidates for current resource requirements. • Cull, screen candidates and enter accurate and up to date screening notes in Microsoft Dynamics and progress applications through HR Core requisitions. • Conduct searches using LinkedIn Recruiter to address and support resource requirement gaps effectively • Screening referrals, ensuring referrer is updated, screening notes are accurately entered into Microsoft Dynamics. • Ensure active candidates in Microsoft Dynamics are consistently updated to accurately reflect their current availability • Creating, editing and publishing Talent Pool advertisements and social media shares • Report weekly reports on talent pool applications, recruitment pipelines, and candidate capabilities • Champion candidate care to ensure a positive recruitment experience and maintain connection throughout recruitment process. • Other duties as required. What You’ll Bring • Recruitment experience, either agency or in-house for Defence sector bids within ICT and digital environments. • A strong sales mindset, competitive drive, and proactive commercial acumen to deliver results in high-volume, fast-paced bid landscapes. • Experience using HRIS systems, Microsoft Dynamics and recruitment tools like Seek Talent Search and Linked In Recruiter. • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment. • To be eligible for this role, applicants must be Australian Citizens and willing to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance. • While the position is ideally based in Canberra, remote applicants will also be considered. Please note that this is a 6-month fixed term contract, with potential for extension or transition into a permanent role.
