Working under the guidance of the Local Editor and alongside a collaborative team, you’ll create content across radio programs working on Breakfast, Mornings or Drive. The Job Develop and deliver engaging content across multiple platforms, including radio, digital and social media. Craft distinctive stories that connect with local audiences and reflect community interests. Provide hands-on support in the studio, including managing guests and talk-back callers. Participate in editorial planning and contribute fresh ideas to drive audience engagement. Support emergency broadcasting efforts and liaise with relevant stakeholders. Share locally produced content with other ABC teams to broaden reach. Promote ABC programs and initiatives to enhance audience interaction. Create inclusive stories that reflect Australia’s cultural, geographic and socio-economic diversity. Build strong relationships with local communities to uncover and tell meaningful stories. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
