We have a fantastic opportunity for a Public Relations Coordinator to join our Marketing Department on a 12-month fixed-term full-time contract . The successful candidate will assist with the implementation of the Club’s PR and communication strategies across major campaign periods, raceday calendar and non-racing events. As well as running elite horse racing at Caulfield, Sportsbet Sandown and Mornington Racecourses, we own 15 pub venues under the Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG). What will your responsibilities be? Provide support to the PR manager across all the Club’s proactive PR strategies. Support the development and execute the implementation of the 2026 Summer Autumn Carnival campaign and 2026 Sportsbet Caulfield Cup Carnival campaign, PR and content strategy. Co-manage PR elements including the creation and distribution of media materials, pitching and executing media opportunities with local, national and racing specific media. Assist in maintaining effective relationships with Club ambassadors, talent, external stakeholders including sponsors and partners and liaise with them on PR opportunities and manage briefings. Ensure partners, sponsors and stakeholder commitments are represented as agreed. Profile the stories and people of racing in line with Campaign periods and racedays to generate positive awareness. Report on PR performance to marketing team and wider business as required. Skills & Experience Tertiary qualification in Public Relations, Professional Communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing, or related discipline. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role or PR agency. Knowledge of key industry players, general racing knowledge well regarded. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. A keen interest in the field of PR, with a strong understanding of the media landscape. Excellent organisational skills. What’s in it for you?
