About the role As the Ash Dam Compliance Coordinator, you will be responsible for the operational, maintenance and compliance activities of the Vales Point Ash Dam. This is a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating and implementing operational maintenance plans and systems Monitoring asset condition, managing risks and ensuring reliability Managing operational and capital expenditure budgets Leading technical improvements and supporting future projects Overseeing contractor performance in line with safety, quality and compliance standards Providing technical support during work planning and execution Managing the ash dam weighbridge and supporting civil maintenance activities About you You will have: A diploma, degree in Engineering/Project Management, or a relevant trade qualification Experience in civil, geotechnical, or heavy industry environments Ideally, you’ll have experience with ash dam or tailings operations or maintenance Strong background in maintenance, engineering operations, safety or environmental systems Familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Work Management Systems (WMS) Proven ability to apply technical knowledge in compliance and operational contexts The benefits Work with a supportive and collaborative team that values care, achievement, respect and empowerment A rare chance to work on large-scale ash/tailings dam operations in the power sector Work-life balance with stable rosters (no FIFO, home every night) Be part of a business that is both stable and contributing to Australia’s energy transition Competitive rate and supportive workplace culture Play a pivotal role in both operational safety and environmental performance This is a temporary contract position that will likely transition into a permanent role How to apply Click Apply to submit your resume, or to find out more contact Katerina Nicolopoulos on 0424 511 087 or email katerina@peterjacob.com.au
