We are seeking an experienced journalist to join the Queensland Country Life and North Queensland Register's editorial team in a full-time position. The successful candidate will report on the issues that matter to northern farmers - from politics to livestock markets, cropping, and bush characters - for both our print and online audiences. An understanding of agriculture and rural Queensland and/or experience in the agriculture industry would be highly valuable, but not essential. The ideal candidate will be based in Townsville or Charters Towers, though other north west locations may be considered for the right person. The ideal candidate: A media professional with experience in either journalism or agriculture. Detail-oriented, organised and self-motivated.
