What we are looking for: We’re on the lookout for a skilled and safety-conscious Line Marker to join our Line Marking & Signage Team within Infrastructure Operations. This hands-on role is perfect for someone with experience in line marking and road painting, who enjoys working outdoors, operating plant and equipment, and being part of a productive, community-focused team. What your day will look like: As a Line Marker, your work directly improves road safety and the day-to-day travel experience for residents, visitors, and businesses. Each day, you may find yourself: Operating line marking machinery to paint or re-mark roads, carparks, crossings, and other Council assets Installing or maintaining street signs, street furniture, and traffic facilities Assisting with the setup and download of traffic counters Using hand and power tools to prepare surfaces and apply stencils or markings Maintaining and cleaning plant, tools, stencils and safety equipment Following Traffic Management Plans and assisting with pedestrian and vehicle traffic control Accurately completing timesheets and plant inspection records Representing Council in a professional and courteous manner while working in the community You’ll work under general supervision but have the initiative and responsibility to complete tasks efficiently and safely, always keeping quality and public safety top of mind.
