Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, Streaming and Broadcast, you'll serve as a commercial engine for the division by leading strategic planning processes and ensuring alignment with Nine's corporate strategy and financial goals.The Strategy department drives strategic and operational planning by converting data and consumer insights into action. This work shapes the division's investment decisions, competitive market value proposition, pricing, and product.Working closely with the leadership team, you will develop long-term business plans, identify new growth opportunities, and create robust business cases for strategic initiatives.Day to day, you will:Lead strategic planning processes, including annual planning, new growth identification, investment reviews, and market intelligence.Develop robust business cases for key strategic initiatives, outlining market potential and financial projections, while coordinating alignment across the leadership team.Collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including other leaders within Streaming & Broadcast, as well as Finance, Data, Group Strategy, and others.Develop and manage the valuation methodology for content acquisition and commissioning (sport, news, entertainment).Lead the strategic insights function to embed actionable, data-driven insights into business cases, decision-making, and operations.Lead detailed analysis to unlock value and deduplicate interconnected revenue/cost implications across business units.Lead assembly of MD, CEO, and Board materials for investment options, budget, performance, and strategic initiatives.Please submit your resume and cover letter by Friday, October 31st.QualificationsWhat you'll bring:Experience in senior strategic leadership roles, preferably in media, technology, or a related consumer-facing industry.Strong commercial skillset, with hands-on capability in building business cases, budgeting processes, and financial analysis.Proven capability in creating high-impact strategic narratives and preparation of board-level presentation materials.Experience leading insight teams and transforming the use of data to drive decision-makingProven experience leading and collaborating across a matrixed organisation.A collaborative and adaptable working style with strong interpersonal skills.Experience leading sports and/or other content rights investment initiatives (beneficial).Additional InformationHow we workAt Nine, our flexible work options vary by role and team.
