This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a full-time Irrigation Leading Hand. Based in the Sunraysia region, VIC, you will work closely with the Irrigation Controller and have the responsibility for day-to-day irrigation operations. This hands-on role is a great opportunity for someone with irrigation experience to be coached by experienced leaders and broaden their skill in monitoring soil moisture, maintaining the farm’s irrigation equipment and infrastructure, and manage a small team. Key Responsibilities: Assist in irrigation, fertilizer and maintenance program requirements. Lead a small team of irrigation hands Liaise with contractors to ensure timelines and scoped works are met. Assist in monitoring and managing the efficient and timely delivery of water and fertilizer to the orchards. Maintain irrigation equipment and ensure timely service and repairs of the irrigation system. Identify and report issues and undertake corrective measures. Previous experience working on a farm with leadership experience, and knowledge of drip irrigation systems, system design and function.
