Role Overview Reporting to the GM, Customer Relationship Excellence, you will establish and lead a new Inside Sales function in Australia. Your focus will be on building a high-performing, customer-focused team, driving retention, growth, and share of wallet in the small to medium customer segment. You will embed a consultative, solution-selling approach while collaborating across functions and leveraging international best practices to shape strategy, culture, and team performance. Key Responsibilities: Establish and lead a dispersed Inside Sales team (telephone based), recruiting, coaching, and developing high-performing Customer Specialists. Drive customer growth, retention, and share of wallet in the small to medium customer segment. Embed a consultative, solution-selling approach and ensure disciplined adherence to sales processes and Playbooks. Collaborate across internal functions, including Account Managers, Operations, IT, Finance, and People & Culture teams. Leverage best practices from international teams while adapting strategies to the Australian market. Monitor team performance, establish KPIs, and report on outcomes to senior leadership. Foster a customer-centric, collaborative, and ethical team culture aligned with organisational values. Candidate Profile You are an experienced sales leader with a proven track record in leading or building inside sales or telephony-based teams, ideally in industrial, trade, or manufacturing environments. You have experience in setting up new functions or teams, including recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and motivating a dispersed team to deliver measurable results. You are customer-focused, able to drive retention, growth, and share of wallet in small to medium customer segments through a consultative, solution-selling approach. You can interpret market dynamics, understand customer needs, and apply insights to sales strategy. You are collaborative, ethical, and hands-on, capable of embedding a customer-centric, high-performing culture while working across multiple functions and stakeholders. You have strong influence, communication, and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to align internal teams, adapt best practices from international markets, and establish a successful Inside Sales function in Australia.
