About the role The Nurse Manager - GDM Trial Project is responsible for the planning, coordination and oversight of a multi-phase research project evaluating a culturally responsive model of care for women with GDM. The role provides nursing leadership and governance across all phases of the trial, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, ethical standards, and quality frameworks. Key responsibilities include: - Coordinate the design, governance, and implementation of the GDM trial project across multiple sites. Prepare and support competitive grant submissions and manage key project documentation. Collaborate with First Nations communities and cultural advisors to ensure culturally safe and co-designed research practices. Provide professional leadership and operational oversight within the Nursing and Midwifery Professional Practice Support Unit. Monitor project outcomes, quality, and compliance with ethical, financial, and clinical governance requirements. Support research capability, workforce development, and evidence-based practice within the nursing and midwifery workforce. This position offers an opportunity to combine advanced nursing leadership, research coordination, and cultural collaboration to improve maternal health outcomes across North West Queensland.
