Azure DevOps Engineer | Bicep OR Terraform | Large Insurance Company 6 month ongoing role North Sydney / WFH / Remote Competitive daily rates or max term contracts available Primary Purpose Responsible for operations engineering across cloud and data centre platforms. Provide DevOps support to product teams, driving automation, operational stability, and continuous improvement. Key Accountabilities Provision and maintain infrastructure using IaC (Azure Bicep, ARM, PowerShell). Build/manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. Deliver operational workflows (scheduling, file transfers) and business continuity solutions (monitoring, backup, recovery). Automate operations with scripting and orchestration tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Support incident resolution, risk management, and ensure non-functional requirements are met. Collaborate with technical and business teams, advocating DevSecOps practices and engineering standards. Essential Requirements 5 yrs Azure cloud/IaC; 3 yrs Azure DevOps with Bicep. Strong CI/CD pipeline and Azure DevOps experience. Infrastructure and network management (patching, monitoring, upgrades). System integration experience (APIs, file transfers). Understanding of security and vulnerability management. Strong scripting/automation skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
