Bulk Wagon Maintainer – Parkes Terminal Permanent | Full-Time | Day Shift | Training Provided Join Pacific National – Australia’s largest private rail freight operator Every day we transport millions of tonnes of critical freight around the country for our customers. We’re now looking for a hands-on, safety-focused Wagon Maintainer to join our Parkes team. This critical team plays a vital role in ensuring the on-time availability of Pacific National rolling stock, as well as supporting the introduction of new wagons and technologies. What You’ll Do Perform wagon maintenance, repairs and inspections Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs Operate tools, mobile plant and lifting equipment Fabricate, weld and assemble components Coordinate with planners, contractors and operators Support new wagon rollouts and tech upgrades What You’ll Bring Safety mindset – we bring safety into every moment, every interaction, every day Strong mechanical aptitude Team player with a “can-do” attitude C Class Driver’s Licence (essential) Forklift/MR Licence (advantageous) Basic computer skills Heavy industry experience (e.g. boilermaker) is a plus – but not required.
