Their mission is to strengthen Aboriginal families and communities through safe, sustainable, and culturally appropriate housing. The team are now seeking a motivated Property and Customer Service Officer to join their Property Team in Parkes. In this role, you’ll be a key point of contact for tenants and contractors, coordinating property maintenance and ensuring timely, high-quality service delivery that supports the comfort and wellbeing of Aboriginal people in their homes. Your key responsibilities will include: Providing friendly, professional service to tenants, contractors, and community members via phone, email, and in person. Logging, allocating, and tracking maintenance and repair requests from start to finish. Coordinating contractor compliance - ensuring licences, insurances, and WHS documentation are up to date. Scheduling planned maintenance and following up to ensure works are completed on time and to standard. Keeping accurate and up-to-date property and tenant records in the tenancy management system. Preparing correspondence, inspection notifications, and basic reports for the Property Team. Supporting the Property and Tenancy teams with administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations. Upholding MLAHMC’s values of integrity, respect, and cultural safety in all interactions. What you’ll bring: It is highly preferred that you are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. Strong customer service and administrative skills, with a proactive and professional approach. Excellent communication skills and confidence managing enquiries from tenants and contractors. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy office environment. Strong organisation and IT skills including Microsoft Office and databases, with a focus on accuracy and data integrity. A collaborative attitude and commitment to supporting Aboriginal communities through housing. Current National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain). Desirable: Experience in property management and/or residential housing maintenance. Understanding of contractor compliance requirements and maintenance processes. Certificate III or IV in Business, Administration, or Community Services (or equivalent experience). Why join MLAHMC?
