Job Description: Role Title: Technical Aide - Endoscopy Role Type: Casual Department and Location: Endoscopy Department, The Mater hospital, North Sydney Salary: 29.36 - 39.24 AUD base per hour. About The Role: We are seeking for an experienced and dedicated Endoscopy Technician to join our expanding Endoscopy/Day Surgery department at the Mater Hospital in North Sydney. By early 2026, the unit will relocate to a brand-new, state-of-the-art endoscopy suite, further enhancing our capacity to deliver excellence in endoscopic care. This role will be available for a casual basis and looking for a more permanent role in the future once the new Endoscopy department opens. Responsibilities include endoscope processing, decontamination, sterilisation, maintenance, and storage. You will bring your passion to the role where you will work with competent technicians, nurses, and Doctors to support our unit when required. About You: Certificate in GENCA Fundamentals of Endoscope Reprocessing (highly desirable). Knowledge of flexible endoscopes, reprocessors and accessories. Have thorough knowledge of GENCA, GESA, HICMR, and Infection control policies and procedures in Endoscopy. Able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Ability to stand for long hours and carry heavy boxes. Ability to multitask, flexible with allocations, and adopts to change easily. Why Work at St Vincent’s? One of Sydney’s premier private hospitals. Close by to train stations at North Sydney, St Leonards, and Crows Nest, and buses on Pacific Highway. The only Australian hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres. Core specialties include Obstetrics, Orthopaedics including hip and knee joint replacements, bone and sports injuries, cardiology, cancer care and surgery, lung and vascular medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology, endocrine surgery, and neurosurgery.
