TP Human Capital is partnering with FEAT (Family Emergency Accommodation Townsville Inc.) to recruit a General Manager. FEAT is a long-standing, values-driven community organisation supporting families experiencing or at risk of homelessness across the Townsville region since 1978. As a registered community housing provider, FEAT delivers housing and support services that create stability, dignity, and opportunities for families to rebuild their lives. Reporting to the Board, the General Manager provides operational and strategic leadership across all areas of the organisation. Working closely with a small, committed team, the role oversees finance, people and culture, compliance, service delivery, stakeholder engagement, and housing asset management. This hands-on leadership position ensures the organisation continues to deliver client-focused, values-aligned outcomes. The role also plays an important strategic function, advocating for an end to homelessness and its causes. Intermittent travel will be required. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership across all operational areas, ensuring alignment with FEAT’s mission and values. Oversee financial and compliance management in collaboration with the Board and the Finance Manager. Prepare and present reports and papers for the board. Identify and secure funding opportunities through effective grant writing and partnership development. Lead a small, dedicated team and foster a values-based, high-performing culture. Manage FEAT’s housing assets and ensure compliance with community housing standards. Being a strong advocate for social and affordable housing through the building and maintenance of strong relationships with government, community, and sector stakeholders. About You: Experienced leader within the not-for-profit or community services sector. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, funding, and grants. Skilled communicator with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders. Experience in preparing board or committee reports and providing governance support. Knowledge of community housing or social services will be highly regarded. Values-led approach with a commitment to positive community outcomes. Role Details: Full-time permanent position based in Townsville. Standard office hours with flexibility for occasional travel and attendance at after -hours board meetings.
