The Role Reporting to the Fitness Centre Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of Swim School classes, private lessons and water safety programs in a professional manner, providing excellent service for members and guests. You will work with management to assess and allocate children and adults to the appropriate swim classes each term. This is a casual role that will require weekly availability to work Fridays and Saturdays with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts. Main responsibilities include: Pre-planning and developing lesson structures Conducting swimming lessons/coaching sessions to meet the defined needs of the students What does the club need from me? Aust Swim Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certification or Swim Australia Teacher Certification Senior First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation certifications Clearance to work with children via the Working with Children Check Knowledge and ability to pre-plan and develop lesson structures Minimum of two years’ experience as a Swim Instructor Strong communication skills both written and verbal with children and parents Have the ability to think on your feet & show initiative Desirable Austswim Teacher of Infant & Preschool Aquatics Austswim Teacher of Aquatics with People of Disabilities Austswim Teacher of Competitive Strokes Swim Australia Babies & Toddlers Why Choose Us?
