The Opportunity Location: Level 3, The Juniors, 558A Anzac Parade, Kingsford NSW Employment Type: Casual Hours: Minimum 10 hours per week (primarily afternoons and/or weekends) Pay: Indicative training range: $30.35–$31.56 per hour. Higher rates apply upon progression.Aligned with the applicable Award/EBA and based on training level, qualifications, experience, and progression What You'll Do Participate in the Trainee Swim Teacher training program, including shadowing and practical training Learn the In The Deep Program and teaching approach Shadow experienced teachers and receive ongoing mentorship Progress to teaching independently once training and competency requirements are met Build genuine connections with kids, families, and your team This role involves prolonged time in the water, standing for extended periods, and maintaining focus across consecutive classes You're A Great Fit If Enjoy working with children and supporting their development Are comfortable working in the water for extended periods Are reliable, positive, and open to feedback Are able to commit to regular and ongoing shifts Have a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) Desirable Criteria (Not Essential) AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (TSW) or Swim Australia Teacher (SAT), or willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain Experience working with children or families Customer service or hospitality experience How To Apply Send us: Your resume A short cover letter (tell us why you love swimming and teaching!)
