Responsibilities Key responsibilities are: Planning, procurement, delivery and monitoring of programmed, preventative maintenance, compliance and ad-hoc works for Councils facilities and external spaces through the engagement of contractors. Being the Superintendent’s Representative and administering contracts. Contract management and contractor management. Adhering to Council’s Procurement Policy and Contract Management Framework. Prepare and lead the procurement process for request for quote and request for tender documents. Consult with other departments / teams of Council and amongst the Contracted Services team to prepare relevant documents. Oversee the performance of contractors and contracts by undertaking regular reviews and inspections against contract deliverables to ensure quality and performance and to identify continuous improvement options. Qualifications The successful candidate will have: Strong contract management and contractor management acumen. Strong understanding of reading and interpreting contracts. Strong capability to engage and work collaboratively with all stakeholders and contractors. Strong negotiation skills. Innovative and analytical thinking with a practical approach to problem solving and negotiation. High level planning and prioritising skills to meeting competing deadlines. Strong use of initiative and the ability to work with limited supervision. Well established communication skills. Competent IT skills that enable the use of corporate systems in the day to day work activities. You will: Hold a Certificate or Diploma qualification in Contract Management, Project Management, Facilities/Building Management or a related discipline/field or demonstrated equivalent experience. Hold a current South Australian Class C Driver's Licence. Hold a Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry (WhiteCard), or willingness to obtain. Be willing to undertake Level 2 Purchasing Accreditation (internal training) upon commencement. Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment and police check.
