You will deliver the course in the classroom, through workshops as well as in simulated learning environments at our Ashmore Campus. The successful applicants will be a trade qualified individuals who have a passion for the Electrical Industry. They will be supported and mentored while they transition into their role as a teacher at TAFE Queensland. You will contribute to developing and delivering quality learning, teaching and assessment to a wide range of clients through: Outcome focussed vocational education and training (VET) programs; Linking with industry, schools, universities, community, other TAFE and VET providers; Maintaining currency with industry practices, workplace delivery and contemporary teaching methodologies and philosophies; and Working in an environment of ongoing change and continuous improvement. These positions are based at Ashmore Campus and are Temporary Full-Time contracts until 18 December 2026, with possibility for extension. Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements Ability to demonstrate a broad range of current industry skills and experience. Possession of the following: UEE30820 – QLD Electrical Fitter Mechanics licence (or equivalent). UEE32220 – QLD Restricted Licence (or equivalent) Additionally, to become a TAFE Teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials: TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or its successor; TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development; TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor; Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland). Working with Children Check (Blue Card) Confirmation of employment is conditional upon the preferred applicant being issued with a Blue Card. Highly Desirable Requirements ACMA cabling licence experience Salary The salary range for a TAFE Teacher is $92,930 – $105,218 (gross) per annum, depending on educational qualifications and teaching experience.
