The Role We have an exciting temporary part-time (0.6 FTE) Teacher position available until 5 November 2026 (unless otherwise determined) to join our Hairdressing team at TAFE Queensland's Loganlea Campus. This position reports to the Educational Team Leader. Salary The salary range for a part-time (0.6 FTE) Teacher is $55,758.02 - $63,130.86 (gross) per annum plus superannuation contributions of 12.75% of your salary (depending on educational qualifications held and teaching experience). Benefits Four (4) weeks recreation leave (accrued annually) Five (5) weeks Non-Attendance Time programmed annually for preparation Flexible work options (e.g. Purchased leave, compressed hours, telecommuting) Professional development, study assistance and support to return to industry for currency and competency purposes Mandatory Requirements Applicants must possess the following: Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed; SHB30516 – Certificate III in Barbering Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials: TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; plus: TAELLN411 or its successor or TAELLN401A; and TAEASS502 or its successor or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B; or A credential issued by a higher education provider which would enable the individual to satisfy the academic requirements for registration as a secondary school teacher and one (1) of the following credentials: TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor, or TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor; or TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set; or A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland). Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided; Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided; Current evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment. Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
