The Opportunity The position as an Earthing Engineer plays an important role in helping Powerplant to realise its vision to connect customers with intelligent and sustainable infrastructure solutions. Key Responsibilities Maintain a culture of Health and Safety in all Business Activities; Assess touch and step potential hazards and design mitigation strategies to ensure safety. Ensure compliance with national and international earthing standards (e.g., IEEE 80, AS3000, AS2067, IEC standards) using software tools such as CDEGS, ETAP, or similar platforms. Oversee the lifecycle of a customer project to support customers (and their contractors/consultants) and Powerplant design teams to deliver on their commitments and ensure customer satisfaction. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Master’s degree or specialization in power systems is a plus. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in electrical earthing design and analysis, preferably in utilities, industrial, or renewable energy sectors. Proficient in earthing system design software (e.g., CDEGS, ETAP, or similar). Familiarity with earthing standards such as IEEE 80 and Australian Standards AS3000, AS2067 and or IEC standards, and local regulatory requirements. Strong understanding of electrical safety principles related to earthing systems. Experience with earthing system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
