About us: Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs services provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000) with services located in each area. Rockhampton is the principal service centre and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016, and is the location of the acute adult inpatient facilities. In addition there is a Adult Step Up Step Down facility located in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit located in Rockhampton. About the role: Deliver advanced level of clinical services including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of complex care needs of consumers and integrating initiatives with a high degree of independence in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards. Apply high level professional judgement and decision making to resolve a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable clinical evidence with minimal direct clinical practice supervision. Provide advanced general and profession specific clinical advice to clinical leaders, Team Manager and other stakeholders that facilitate service delivery improvement across the Child and Youth specialist area within CQMHAODS. Leads service-wide quality and service improvement activities to provide information for use in planning or evaluation of consumer services and service delivery functions. The position is expected to participate in research, grant applications, undertake conference presentations and seek to publish articles in journals.
