Description Job Purpose DP World is seeking a dedicated Injury Management Advisor to join our team based in Melbourne. In this role, you will oversee the timely, safe, and cost-effective return of employees to their pre-injury duties. You will lead strategic, outcome-focused case management of work-related injuries, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and continuous improvement for all stakeholders. You will work closely with internal teams including employees, operations, senior management and external partners such as insurers, medical providers and specialists. Additionally, you will manage 25 early intervention workers compensation claims, you will develop return to work plans, ensure employees receive their entitlements, and implement claim reduction strategies. We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity available, working Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities: Foster harmonious industrial relations and positive workforce culture through regular consultation, proactive communication, and empathy, aligning with organisational values. Engage key internal stakeholders to integrate Injury Management processes effectively with business needs, ensuring timely communication of employee restrictions and return-to-work plans. Implement early intervention strategies that support an early and sustainable return to pre-injury duties. Manage financial efficiencies by ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payments and claims, developing cost-effective, outcome-focused strategies to support premium reduction. Build trust and maintain strong relationships with injured employees, senior management, and external parties to support early intervention and effective case management. Maintain compliance with workers compensation legislation through accurate claims administration, confidential record keeping, and regular reporting to senior management. Coordinate complex and long-term claims by developing tailored return to work plans, arranging necessary assessments, and advocating for injured employee’s best interests throughout the recovery process. Qualifications, Skills and Experience required: Allied health and/or occupational rehabilitation experience is highly desirable. Qualification and Return to Work coordinator training required, with a minimum of 2 year’s experience in workers compensation and return to work processes within an industrial environment. Strong understanding of relevant worker’s compensation legislation and employer obligations. Proven experience in developing and managing return to work plans, documentation, and reporting. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consultation skills with the ability to engage and align multiple stakeholders. Proficient in MS Office and knowledgeable in injury management protocols. Demonstrated competencies in initiative, achievement orientation, quality focus, teamwork, cooperation, and holding people accountable.
