About the role As the People & Culture Risk Project Manager at Australian Retirement Trust, you will lead the delivery of initiatives that uplift risk culture across the organisation. Reporting to the General Manager – Performance, Reward and Governance, you’ll play a pivotal role in embedding risk practices that align with ART’s purpose, values, and frameworks. This role partners closely with People & Impact leadership and Centres of Excellence to design, implement, and govern risk culture measures. You’ll drive continuous improvement in performance, reward, and consequence management processes, ensuring risk considerations are integrated throughout the employee experience. Day to day you'll: Lead the delivery of People & Impact initiatives supporting ART’s Risk Culture uplift project. Translate effective risk management practices to enterprise, business area, and individual levels. Support governance processes for approval of changes, including committee and board submissions. Collaborate with leadership and Centres of Excellence to design and implement risk culture measures. Co-design fit-for-purpose risk culture metrics aligned to ART’s purpose and values. Review and enhance existing Performance, Reward, and Consequence Management Frameworks. Define and integrate risk considerations into the employee lifecycle and performance management processes. Identify and implement levers to discourage undesirable risk behaviours, including impacts on remuneration and disciplinary actions. Ensure clarity and consistency in consequence management by defining risk considerations for consequence tiers. Provide input to change management plans to support enterprise-wide delivery of risk initiatives. Act as the project initiative lead for People & Impact, driving project outcomes and stakeholder engagement. This is a 12 month fixed term contract opportunity based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: Demonstrated experience in a regulated financial services environment, with a focus on risk outcomes, performance, and consequence management. Solid understanding of risk management principles, frameworks, and best practices. Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to interpret risk data and support decision-making. Proficient in using risk management platforms for risk identification, monitoring, and reporting. Exceptional attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences. Proven ability to build strong working relationships and engage stakeholders at all levels. Inclusive and collaborative approach, with skills in consultation, facilitation, negotiation, and influence. High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in handling sensitive information. Adaptable, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
