Description About the role: This is a permanent full-time position based in Tuart Hill, Perth. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, this role is primarily responsible for commercial management and relationship management. Some key responsibilities are: Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with current and potential commercial partners of WAF Drive innovation to ensure retention and growth of key strategic partnerships Ensuring compliance with financial and other reporting requirements across Commercial portfolio, and compliance of affiliates and WAFL Clubs to relevant partnership agreements Identifying opportunities to further leverage sponsorships additional to contractual obligations Ensure that the WAF’s Marquee Events (including Sandover Medal/ Hall of fame & WAFL Grand Final) are run professionally to ensure all commercial partner obligations and acknowledgements are fulfilled Ensure procurement of supply items is carried out centrally and as efficiently as possible. Own administration relating to relevant partnership and partnership deliverables Support renegotiations strategy for incumbent WAF commercial partners Skills And Experiences To be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate the following criteria: Essential: Demonstrated experience in account management, business development, or commercial operations within sports or a related industry Event experience, with a demonstrated ability to coordinate large-scale event Strong negotiation skills and experience in securing new partnerships and sponsorships Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels Proven ability to manage budgets and financial forecasts, with a focus on achieving commercial goals Exceptional attention to detail and a proven aptitude for process improvement and operational efficiency Ability to thrive under pressure, managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines & performance targets Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software Ability to work outside of standard working hours to fulfill commercial requirements Valid Driver's License Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, or Sports Management Experience in customer retention strategies, with a focus on long-term relationships and service excellence Experience in the sports industry or with sporting organisations Demonstrated understanding of the history, structure and operations of Football in WA Events experience All applications will be required to present a current Working with Children Card and a National Police Clearance (no older than six months).
