The facility is comprised of 240 beds, with 11 operating theatre suites caters for most surgical specialties including, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, vascular, urology, colorectal, orthopaedics, breast, and gynaecology and the busiest (da Vinci) Robotics unit in Australia performing over 40,000 procedures a year! The working environment within this facility is supportive and offers opportunities for professional development. Your Main Duties As a recovery and anaesthetics nurse, you will be playing a vital role in the perioperative care of patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will be collaborating with the perioperative team to ensure a seamless continuity of care. Your duties will include: Systemic patient assessment Monitoring of vital signs and any signs of complications Pain management Airway management Accurate and precise documentation Undertaking nursing activities within the theatre suite in a safe and competent manner Assuming the role of shift coordinator as required Assuming responsibility for allocated daily theatre work Reliving the Clinical Nurse as required The Location You will be living on the southern coast of Australia, in a beautiful city comprised of beautiful landscapes, a vibrant arts scene, and a rich cultural heritage. To be eligible for the position, you must have the following: Current registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions At least 1 year of experience in recovery/anaesthetics Competency with airway management skills ALS competency Must have full Australian working rights (Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship).
