What you'll be doing The ISLHD department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology provides broad-based training and experience in General Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is a training site for the Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics of the RANZCOG. There are approximately 2900 births per year. As a member of the O&G team, you will provide care in the Antenatal and Postnatal Wards and participate in Acute Delivery Suite duties, while working with trainees and consultants. You will also gain experience in Antenatal Clinics, Gynaecology Outpatients and Theatre, and participate in the departmental teaching programme. This position is suitable for General Practice Trainees who may wish to complete the RANZCOG Diploma exam, or apply to RANZCOG training, or an experienced Unaccredited Trainee seeking a new opportunity within the Department. The clinical care will be delivered with consultation and inclusion of the multidisciplinary team within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District. Whilst the position is based at Wollongong Hospital, some work at Shellharbour Hospital may be required.
