An excellent opportunity is available for a newly graduated Speech Pathologist to join the Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) Speech Pathology team. This full-time temporary 2-year contract provides an opportunity for a new clinician to consolidate and enhance their graduating skills in a supportive but clinically challenging setting. The new graduate position is well supported with regular departmental and district level professional development opportunities, direct and formal supervision by a senior clinician with opportunities throughout the year to participate in quality improvement activities. The clinician also has opportunities to commence developing skills in instrumental assessment throughout this contract and to gain experience in speciality areas, such as burns, spinal and paediatric feeding. The second year of this position will provide an opportunity for weekend sole clinician experience with the roster changing to Tuesday to Saturday after 12 months. Where you'll be working The Speech Pathology Department at Royal North Shore Hospital What You'll Be Doing The main purpose of this position is to provide accurate assessment and intervention for inpatients with swallowing and communication disorders within allocated clinical areas and selective outpatients within the local government area.
