Where you'll be working Brookvale Community Health Centre - Northern Beaches Child and Youth Mental Health Service What You'll Be Doing The Child & Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) provides a comprehensive range of assessment and treatments for infants, children and adolescents affected by moderate to severe, or complex mental health problems. Working in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and in partnership with other service providers, the CYMHS clinician provides client-centred, recovery-orientated and trauma-informed care through a combination of individual, family-based, parenting support and group therapy interventions. The CYMHS clinician will be supported by professional development training opportunities and ongoing clinical supervision to promote evidence informed care delivery to clients and families experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges. The CYMHS clinician will also participate in the intake component of the service on a pro-rata basis. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria Current AHPRA registration for relevant discipline - Psychology, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse. Eligibility for membership with AASW for Social Workers.Demonstrated, comprehensive mental health assessment and crisis intervention experience including experience and skills in suicide risk assessment and management.Relevant clinical mental health experience in a community setting which includes working with children and/or adolescents and their families.
