About the Role We’re seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Fitter to support the day-to-day operations of our battery recycling plants in Campbellfield and occasionally, Laverton North. Reporting to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping our critical equipment running – safely, smoothly, and efficiently. You’ll support both routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems across our expanding site network. This is a full-time, site-based role ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and values teamwork, precision, and purpose. You’ll be responsible for: · Installation, alignment and assembly of mechanical components and plant equipment · Diagnosing faults, conducting repairs, and executing preventative maintenance schedules · Performing calibrations and machine adjustments to ensure optimal performance · Maintaining accurate documentation and service reports · Supporting a proactive safety culture through hazard identification and compliance · Collaborating with a cross-functional team to minimise downtime and drive improvement About You You’re a practical, mechanically-minded professional who takes pride in your workmanship and brings a safety-first attitude. You thrive in a dynamic, purpose-driven workplace and work just as well on your own as you do as part of a team. You’ll bring: · Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering / Fitting and Turning (preferred) · Demonstrated experience as a mechanical fitter in an industrial or manufacturing environment · Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and blueprints · Skilled in using a wide range of hand tools, power tools and precision instruments · A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement · Physical fitness to work in varied conditions, including confined spaces and at heights Why Join Us?
