About the role NSW Public Works (NSW PW) is part of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development and supports local and state government agencies to deliver critical infrastructure initiatives by providing expert advisory, planning, design, delivery and support services. We are currently seeking a civil Engineer to join NSW Public Works (NSW PW) within the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD). This is a position with the Infrastructure Engineering and Advisory group within NSW PW. In this role you will provide engineering expertise and support in water and wastewater related projects responding to client needs to ensure the consistent delivery of outcomes, including project quality, agreed timeframes and budget. About You To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have the following: About 3 to 5 years’ experience in the civil design of water and water treatment engineering projects including pipelines, pumping stations, and treatment plants. Degree in civil engineering discipline with eligibility for member status of Professional Engineer of Engineers Australia. Knowledge and experience in hydraulic modelling and understanding of other specialist discipline such as, geotechnical and mechanical engineering. Experience in 3D modelling and drafting (AutoCAD) of plants and piping systems. Assist in the preparation of a range of deliverables such as options studies and concept designs and design drawings and specifications A valid NSW Driver’s license and willingness to drive to remote locations which may include overnight stays.
