Suited to a recent Graduate or someone who is keen to build a long term career in Banking! What’s the role? We’re looking for an Associate to join our Financial Institutions and Government (FI&G) team within Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB). You’ll support the ACT and Commonwealth Public Sector Coverage team by helping prepare client briefings, strategy documents, pricing submissions, and revenue reports. You’ll also be involved in client meetings and help senior stakeholders deliver bespoke financial solutions. This is a permanent opportunity based in Canberra, with hybrid work arrangements (3 days in office). What do I need? We’re looking for someone who has: A natural affinity with numbers, with strong Microsoft Office suite skills coupled with high attention to detail. The ability to recognise when they must pivot their focus and be agile to prioritise the most critical tasks. A customer-first mindset, the ability to build internal networks and has a passion for delivering great outcomes. Strong analytical skills and a natural curiosity to connect the dots. Experience in commercial credit analysis, ideally in a lending environment. Ideally a tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics (preferred but not essential).
