The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. About the Role As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities, you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the school by supporting the Principal, Business Manager, or nominated delegate in delivering well-maintained grounds and facilities. You will carry out a variety of routine, day-to-day tasks independently, following established instructions to ensure the school environment is kept to a high standard. While most duties are routine, you will receive regular supervision when performing non-routine activities. This role does not involve any tasks or repairs that require the expertise of a qualified tradesperson. Your Responsibilities As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Proven hands-on experience in building maintenance including routine repairs and upkeep of school facilities, furniture, fixtures and equipment. Familiar with the use of grounds equipment including ride on mower and brush cutter. Maintain effective communication with the Principal and Business Manager regarding scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks. Support the set up and logistical needs of school events as required. Familiar with managing tools, equipment and maintenance records in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
