$95,187 - $108,734 10% BDCP up to 15.4% Superannuation Melbourne CBD - VIC The Role Aviation Support Systems Program Office (AvSSPO) Chief of Air Force Product Schedule 39 (CAF39) Air Force Training Group Sustainment Contracting and Procurement Arrangements is seeking two professional and motivated APS6 Contract Managers to assist with procurement and contract management activities for products within the CAF39 product portfolio. Within the Contract Management function, an APS Contract Manager is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex to very complex procurement and contract management work within an integrated workforce. They will require an in-depth knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements. As an APS 6 Contract Manager in Defence, you will: Lead high value, complex procurement and contract activities that support Defence capability Manage sensitive, high impact projects that influence Defence operations Engage in complex problem solving and manage detailed or sensitive projects that impact on strategic, political or operational outcomes for Defence Develop, implement, and review contract management policies and procedures Plan, lead and manage human and physical resources Exercise people and financial responsibilities to achieve business outcomes, including managing one or more teams Promote performance, capability building and professional development in a high-performing and cohesive team Build and manage key stakeholder relationships by identifying expectations, communicating effectively, and implementing practices to support successful delivery This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.
