Biodiversity Manager - Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea Are you passionate about driving positive biodiversity outcomes in one of the world's most ecologically rich regions? This is an exciting opportunity to lead biodiversity programs for a major LNG development project in Papua New Guinea, working to achieve measurable Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) in line with international best practice. The Role As Biodiversity Manager, you will take the lead on developing, implementing, and monitoring biodiversity programs, ensuring compliance with IFC Performance Standard 6 (PS6) and international lender requirements. You will guide a dedicated team of coordinators and officers, while working closely with local communities, government, NGOs, and project partners to deliver effective and sustainable conservation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead the implementation of the Biodiversity & Ecosystem Services Action Plan (BESAP) Design and oversee restoration and offset programs to minimize project impacts Develop and coordinate baseline ecological surveys and long-term biodiversity monitoring Engage with stakeholders, ensuring inclusive planning and Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) Ensure compliance with national regulations, IFC PS6, and project standards Provide technical input into Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) and management plans Build capacity and provide training to project staff and contractors About You We are seeking an experienced professional who brings both technical expertise and leadership capability.
