Job Description Reporting to the Dean HE, the Academic Coach is responsible for supporting the development of academic skills and study strategies and providing positive support and improving successful engagement of at-risk higher education students, contributing to the successful transition and progress of students in higher education studies. Key Responsibilities will include: Student Academic Support – Provide coaching and resources to help students with engagement, transition, confidence, time management, research, and academic writing; develop and monitor Individualised Learning Plans (ILPs). Monitoring & Reporting – Track student progress, maintain case files and records, and report on academic risk, performance, and ILP outcomes. Collaboration – Liaise with academic staff to identify at-risk students, support ILP application, and develop shared academic success resources. Compliance & Administration – Ensure policies, accreditation, and compliance requirements are met; assist with Academic Board and Course Advisory Committee paperwork. Professional Contribution – Engage in team discussions, continuous professional development, and uphold the Code of Conduct and institutional policies.
