Complex Cut Up Scientist/ Pathologist Assistant A great opportunity exists to join an established private Anatomical Pathology practice, dedicated to delivering a high quality and timely service to doctors and patients. Anatpath is a private histopathology and cytopathology laboratory, servicing hospitals, radiology clinics, GP clinics, and specialist surgeries thought Metropolitan Melbourne, Geelong and the Mornington Peninsula. We are looking for Casual Complex Cut Up Scientist/Pathologist Assistant to join our fast-paced and dedicated Cut Up team. The successful applicant must be able to work Friday and Saturday OR Sunday. There is some flexibility with the start time of the shift which can be negotiated. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to, macroscopic gross description, including dictation and surgical cut up of simple and complex surgical specimens The successful applicant must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and pathology and be able to correlate the gross specimen with the patient’s clinical / medical history. As secretaries will be transcribing your dictation, your speech must be clear, concise and easily understood. In addition, you will need to work independently, and participate in training, accreditation and QA activities as required. A passion to maintain high standards of quality is essential. Previous experience in complex surgical specimen cut-up, specialist pathology or general physician training would be viewed favourably.
