About the role: The General Manager will lead all aspects of the operations and help guide strategic direction. This is predominantly an operational management role that will also include working with the Director and the family to build for the future. This will include overseeing the workshop, product development, marketing and sales, HR as well as financial oversight. The successful candidate will have a high level of general business acumen and whilst agriculture and manufacturing industry experience is favourable, it is not essential. Your responsibilities will include: Overseeing all manufacturing/workshop activities, including the design, production and purchasing elements; Developing business strategies to achieve objectives in sales and marketing; Managing daily/weekly/monthly and yearly production processes; Monitoring the work in progress and ensuring the right allocation of staff and equipment; Knowing and driving the organisation’s financial systems (Xero and their specific ERP/MRP) to manage profit margins; and Sales and Marketing strategy and execution. About you: To be successful in the role, you will ideally have at least 7 years of experience in a senior leadership role. You will have demonstrated experience in strategic planning of a business, financial management and operational leadership and have a solid understanding of the complete manufacturing cycle – from liaising with the salesforce through to warehousing, logistics, engineering and the factory. You will also be across marketing, sales, HR, health and safety and IT, as per a true General Management role. How to Apply?
