About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Group Software Engineer to join our global team at our South Brisbane head office. This permanent full-time role is pivotal in developing and maintaining advanced radiotherapy software solutions that enhance clinical workflows and improve patient care across Icon Cancer Centres. You will work with industry-leading platforms such as Varian Eclipse and ARIA, and collaborate with clinical and IT teams to deliver secure, efficient, and compliant software solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain applications using Varian Eclipse Scripting API (ESAPI) and ARIA API. Create custom treatment planning tools and automation scripts. Develop secure data exchange mechanisms and reporting tools. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and clinical staff. Ensure software solutions meet healthcare industry standards and cybersecurity requirements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners including vendors and regulatory bodies. Skills and Experience Required: Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years’ experience in software development with ESAPI and ARIA API. Minimum 2 years’ experience in healthcare software development within a clinical setting. Proficiency in C#, C++, Python, SQL Server, HL7, and DICOM standards. Experience with Visual Studio and GIT version control. Desirable: Understanding of radiotherapy physics and clinical workflows. Familiarity with healthcare quality management systems.
