The Opportunity You’ll work directly with a hands-on CTO to design, build, and refine modern internal systems. From streamlining data workflows to introducing practical AI integrations, you’ll help create the next generation of digital tools that make the business run smarter, not harder. This is a newly created role for a builder and problem-solver who enjoys autonomy, experimentation, and end-to-end delivery. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain back-end services in Node.js MongoDB Enhance the internal SvelteKit / JavaScript application (CRM integrations, document automation) Develop a secure client-facing portal for real-time asset / liability tracking Create a SharePoint governance layer for structured file access and version control Explore and integrate AI tools ( Copilot, Grok, Azure OpenAI ) to improve workflow efficiency Mentor junior devs and collaborate closely with IT security and leadership teams What You’ll Bring Strong experience with Node.js and MongoDB (end-to-end product delivery) Front-end capability in SvelteKit / Vue / React Familiarity with JavaScript and Java APIs , plus SharePoint / Microsoft Graph exposure Curiosity about applying AI to real business use cases Collaborative, low-ego mindset who enjoys mentoring and improving systems Why This Role Direct collaboration with the CTO and decision-makers Greenfield projects with tangible impact across automation & AI Supportive, delivery-focused culture - minimum red tape Gold Coast - Brisbane or Melbourne based Soft close over Christmas - ideal timing to start and settle in
