The Role The role will manage a fast-growing Verification & Validation team, implement new processes, ensure a high level of quality in traceability and reporting and provide guidance, direction and training where needed. The role will work closely with other managers across R&D and be responsible for all V&V objectives across the development lifecycle. Skills and experience Proven experience in verification and validation, with a strong background in management and team leadership Expertise in setting up a V&V department/team from scratch, including planning and managing the setup and installation of a new department Hands-on approach to leading test teams, both internally and with external manufacturing partners, ensuring the quality and reliability of equipment and sub-assemblies Proficiency in calibrating new equipment and utilising software tools for product testing and protocols Strategic planning and experience in leading a team in a fast-paced, agile environment Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related technical discipline Demonstrated experience in the engineering and manufacturing sector, with a focus on electro/mechanical/software devices or systems Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt and compromise without compromising quality Strong understanding of system testing methodologies in highly regulated industries such as consumer/defence/medical/aerospace Experience with scripting and automation tools Exposure to embedded systems, RF sensing, sensor fusion, or signal processing technologies is highly desirable Benefits New design studio and manufacturing facility Culture of collaboration and exploration Multi-disciplined team environment N.B.
