Auchendarroch house and Oak & Iron Tavern in Mount barker are looking for a Chef de Partie to start ASAP! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Deliver a high standard of food product in the Tavern Bistro and all events • Provide an Event Management approach to all events, ensuring attention to detail at every level of service • Effectively plan in advance for forthcoming Special Events (food & equipment needs) • Function kitchen & location inspections for Special Events • Actively contribute to ongoing menu development process • Take control of all kitchen operations in the Head Chef & Sous Chef’s absence • Support leadership role, setting the standard, by example in all aspects of kitchen operations • Labour cost management • Induction of new staff • Performance management of BOH team, help identify any issues and help develop appropriate training outcomes if required OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Ability to interact positively with supervisor, management, co-workers, members, and the public to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach. • Ability to produce a high volume of work in a timely manner, which is accurate, complete, and of high quality. • Ability to come to work regularly and on time, to follow directions, to take criticism, to get along with co-workers and supervisors, to treat co-workers, supervisors and members/guests with respect and courtesy, and to refrain from abusive, insubordinate and/or violent behavior. • Commercial Catering Certificate III or IV with five or more years of industry and culinary experience For more information on this property please visit https://www.auchendarroch.com.au/oak-and-iron To apply, please forward your current resume with 3 referees, and a cover letter introducing yourself to cheffingaround.com.au or ring Adrian Grant on 0401 641 for more information.
