Synergie is currently seeking Vacuum Truck Operators for a highly respected hire and services business operating across Townsville (2 positions) and Cairns (1 position) . The Important Parts: Role: Vacuum Truck Operator/General Hand Location: Townsville (2 positions) & Cairns (1 position) Pay Rate: Approx. $36 per hour Hours: Standard hours 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with flexibility for later call-outs if required Labour-Intensive Role – High Physical Fitness Required Drug & Alcohol pre-screen and basic medical mandatory (for ongoing employment) Open to visa holders with relevant tickets, including working holiday visas Minimum 1 year’s experience required What You Will Be Required to Do: Operate vacuum trucks to service and clean onsite portable toilets Assist with fencing installation and repairs on worksites Deliver and service hire equipment across multiple sites Provide general yard and site support as needed Perform heavy lifting tasks (concrete blocks 30kg each, fencing panels 21kg each) Work flexibly to meet demand, including occasional late-day call-outs Follow all safety protocols and maintain clean, safe equipment To Be Successful in the Role You Will: Have a high level of physical fitness and stamina for labour-intensive work Hold relevant tickets/licences (vacuum truck experience highly regarded) Have at least 1 year of relevant work experience Be safety-conscious with a strong work ethic Be flexible with hours and reliable for call-outs Hold full working rights in Australia (visa holders welcome if tickets held) Be willing to undergo a drug & alcohol screen and basic medical What’s On Offer for You: As a leading provider of temporary workforce we value all our employees and offer a weekly payrun, a commitment to working with our clients for safe working environments and consultants that care.
