The Role We are seeking a talented Survey Manager to provide surveying industry knowledge and effective project management skills to support the activities and growth of our Melbourne office. As Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the survey team and lead the team to deliver high performing results. Key Responsibilities: Provide input into the designing, reviewing and delivery of the survey sub-sector and state business plansResponsible for managing people within the local team with feedback and consultation from the state sector manager and survey national managerEnsures the operational and technical excellence and performance of the survey team with the effect of growing the function through optimal people, commercial, business development, client relationship management and project performanceEnsuring that surveying tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMECProviding leadership to team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and co-ordination of day-to-day project deliverablesParticipate in strategic business development activitiesManaging client relationshipsApplying project management principles to deliver assigned projects to the required standard in a timely mannerThe incumbent will role model SMEC and the SJ Group values, ethics and code of conduct and ensure all business activities are carried out in accordance with these guiding principles. About You With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in a consulting environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
