The key duties of the position include We are seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to join the ATO as Deputy Commissioner, Strategy and Architecture (S&A) within the Enterprise Solutions and Technology (EST) Group. This pivotal role leads the S&A business line, which is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the ATO's technology ecosystem, driving investment decisions, and ensuring our digital and data services remain resilient, secure, and future-ready. As Deputy Commissioner, you will oversee a diverse portfolio including enterprise architecture, IT portfolio planning, technology governance, strategic sourcing, and risk management. You'll lead a workforce of over 350 professionals across 15 sites, championing innovation, collaboration, and excellence in service delivery. You will report directly to the Chief Information Officer and work closely with other Deputy Commissioners across EST to align technology strategy with organisational priorities and government-wide digital transformation initiatives. You'll be required to work collaboratively across teams, business lines and groups. You will have strong relationships with stakeholders and significantly influence the outcomes of complex issues that can have a wide impact internally and externally. Working collaboratively with stakeholders, you'll anticipate their needs and provide persuasive advice. You'll drive the design and delivery of contemporary IT solutions that deliver the best possible experience with the tax and super systems for communities, stakeholders and services.
