Senior Financial Manager in property funds management Location: Melbourne | Full-time | Competitive package About Us TPA is a privately owned commercial property funds management business. With current AUM of approximately $500m and a growing portfolio across Australia, we are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Manager to join our leadership team to manage both the financial management of the various funds under management and the broader TPA group. The Role Reporting to the Directors, this position has responsibility for overseeing financial reporting across the various funds and broader group, managing the existing finance team, compliance, and performance of the group and investment entities. You will provide insights that shape strategic decision-making, be responsible for all year end financial reporting, and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, including AFS licence and AUSTRAC requirements. Key Responsibilities Report to the directors on financial management functions across the group and associated property funds and syndicates. Manage the existing finance function across the group, property funds and syndicates. Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasting models. Oversee cashflow management, reporting, and capital allocation and manage fund distribution process to investors. Manage debt facilities and banking relationships. Understand and support compliance with tax, ASIC, AFS licence obligations, and related regulatory requirements.Provide commercial insights to support acquisitions, disposals, and new funds. Manage a small but growing finance team, implementing best-practice systems and controls. Partner with external advisors, auditors, and legal counsel as required. Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and strongcashflow discipline.Prepare and deliver timely investor reporting, including fund performance updates, unit distributions, and compliance reporting. Oversee financial reporting and workflows in tools such as Xero to ensure accurate accounts and compliance. About You CA/CPA qualified with 10 years’ experience in senior finance roles. Proven track record in property funds and, syndicate management.Familiarity with AFS licence requirements and compliance frameworks. Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting, tax structuring, and corporate governance. Commercial acumen with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution. Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including high net worth investors, banks, and board members. Experience leading teams and building scalable financial systems. Collaborative and a strong team player, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the business.
