The RoleWe are seeking a Payroll Officer to join a State Government organisation on a 6-month contract (with potential to extend). You will collaborate with a team, supporting fortnightly payroll processing, payroll reporting, and leave and superannuation management. This role is hands-on and suited to someone experienced in high-volume payroll in the Victorian Public Service, with expertise in Chris21 or iChris. ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end payroll processing, including fortnightly pay runs and adjustmentsRespond to payroll queries and manage the Payroll inboxCalculate and process leave, superannuation, deductions, and WorkCover paymentsEnsure compliance with the VPS Enterprise Agreement, payroll tax, and reporting obligationsLiaise with Finance and external providers for payroll runs, reports, and end-of-month requirementsAbout YouKnowledge and experience using Chris21 or iChris (mandatory)Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume payroll with accuracyExperience working in VicGov payroll environmentsExcellent customer service and communication skillsStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesIf this sounds like you, apply now or email Ahmad at ahmad.jahfar@talentinternational.com
