Based at Perth Airport (Mon–Fri, 10am–6pm), you’ll conduct soil, water, and air analysis, ensuring accurate and timely results in a fast-paced lab environment. This full-time, permanent role offers great opportunities to develop your skills and contribute to vital environmental testing. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Undertake routine preparations and analysis of soil and water samples. Ensure equipment and laboratory is kept clean to avoid contamination. Assist with data validation for technical reports (on the assigned tests trained as a validator). Carry out scheduled instrument calibration and maintenance in accordance with written procedures. Assist in receiving, unpacking and registering samples received. Assist in the disposal of samples as required. Understand and adapt general laboratory QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation requirements. Ensure that safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) is used correctly and when necessary. Perform other duties as directed by your Supervisor. Maintain and update skills, qualifications and knowledge through internal, external and on-the-job training/courses to support continuous development and improvement.
